Tomas Slavik is a WORLD CHAMPION

 

In the last turn of the Word Championships in Mont St.Anne 23-year old Tomas Slavik passed Jared Graves(2009 World Champion) and moved him on 2nd place by this crazy move!Slavik is 2010 WORLD CHAMPION!


World Championships in Mont St. Anne was real thriller! From the begining till the end!Everything started with qualification!Last year champion Graves has a flat tired and qualified 31st. The bracket was really messed up and tough heats from the beggining. Tomas Slavik did a save run and finished 6th.

Under the lights show begins! Most important race of season, drama and really difficult for all riders. Slavik got through all heats without any bigger problems till semifinal, where his rear tire exploded and went whole track on flat tire. However Tom made it to the final. But real drama started in the final, in the most important heat of Slavik’s career. When everybody thought its all over Slavik just did his unexpectable pass, overtook Graves in last turn and moved on 1st spot!Slavik is 2010 World Champion in Fourcross! Historical 2nd Czech rider who achieved this title.

„Its something unbelievable, this rainbow jersey feels so different... when i went through finish line I felt like in a dream. You know what is most beautiful thing about this?The fact its reality!The biggest day of my career“ said Slavik on press conference. „I had flat tire almost every single heat except big final. So I could pin it. I took different line in last turn and it worked out. It was indescribable feeling...“

Its honor for Slavik to wear rainbow jerseys and what is more? The distinctive rainbow stripes on the sleeves and collar of Slavik‘s other jerseys will be his privilege for the rest of his career.
