The big final of the World Cup 4X in Leogang was, as in Maribor, almost
completely red and white! Three out of four riders were members of the RSP
Mountainbike Team.
The conditions in Leogang were terrible, just like in Maribor the rain came
down all day long. The brand new track, designed by Guido Tschugg, however
stayed in a good shape. The track was different from all the other tracks we
have raced on the last couple of years, big jumps, big gaps and some really
steep parts. This is a big step in the right direction!
Tomas Slavik turned out to be the best rider of the RSP Team this weekend,
he got 2nd! With his powerfull starts and great jumping skills he made it
look so easy this weekend. Great job by Tomas!
When it rains Marosi is there to win! With some great moves during his
heats, he qualified for the main event. In the final he was in 2nd place for
a while, but after turn 2 he got overtaken by Tomas, so 3rd place for
Marosi.
Joost Wichman tried to suprise Jared Graves in the first turn, which did not
work out the way he planned, resulting in an almost crash, still 4th place.
Jurg Meijer went out in the 2nd round, while battling with Marosi for a
transfer spot, he ran over a flag.
