The main event of the World Cup 4X in Val di Sole was a real thriller.
Graves gets out of the gate first, followed by Rinderknecht, Prokob and
Tomas Slavik. In turn 2 Rinderknecht takes over the lead from Graves, who
droppes back to 4th. Slavik, now in 3rd, is like a snipper, waiting for his
change. On the big doubles he overtakes Prokob, and moves on to 2nd, on the
rockgarden he tries to make a move for the lead, but Rinderknecht turns it
down and wins the race. Another 2nd place for Slavik! It’s waiting for his
1st world cup win!
The conditions in Val di Sole were hard, a dusty and slippery track, as in
Fort William, made the riders struggle all weekend. The track, designed by
Phil Saxena was the same as it was at the 2008 World Champs. Looked like all
the riders enjoyed it!
Tomas Slavik turned out to be the best rider of the RSP team this weekend,
he got 2nd! With his powerfull starts and great jumping skills he made it
look so easy this weekend! Great job by Tomas!
Michal Marosi is struggling with back problems, which infected his racing
this weekend. Michal went out in the 2nd round.
Joost Wichman begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting wasn’t really feeling it this weekend. After a tough battle
with Prokob, Joost went out in semi’s. He ended up 6th of the day.
