Tomas Slavik takes a 5th WIN in Fort William!
“If there is any race you want to win, its always Fort William” Fort William is mecca of MTB World Cup and winning there is always very special and very hard. Last year Tomas Slavik was on the mission to get his 5th annual win, but crashed in early rounds. This year was a revenge for Slavik and he showed up really strong. He was able to win every single round in the finals and got his 5th win in Fort William in big style!
“ You know Im coming to Fort William over 12 years now and every year Im so impressed by the industry and the atmosphere there. Its very unique place and winning there means a lot for the riders. I was always dreaming about winning in Fort William when I was younger kid and now its reality. So stoked. Last year I felt really strong, but did tiny mistake, went down and everything was gone. This year I came even stronger and I could feel it. Conditions were brutal for trainings and quali, but for the race sun came out and we could enjoy one of the most amazing 4X races surrounded by thousands and thousands of spectators… in the final I was having very good gate and I was just bombing down the track as fast as I could crossing the finish line with over 40 meters ahead other guys. I was really missing this feeling and I have to tell you this win is such a power booster. Thats why we do all those sacrifices in our lifes, spending hours and hours on bike in rain and cold… and I have to honestly say its really worth it! Thanks to all my fans, my sponsors, to my girlfriend, family, friends and all those guys helping me on my way you dont see. You know who you are :) Thank you guys for making this win so special to me… Scotland you were great AGAIN! “
